I started off by making A True Worshiper is… my what are you thinking, doing for each day, just as something to do and surprisingly the little sayings took on much more meaning…
John 4:23, 24 says, “But the hour is coming and NOW IS, when the TRUE WORSHIPERS will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth: for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” because “God is a Spirit and they that WORSHIP Him, MUST WORSHIP Him in Spirit and in Truth.”
Quite a mouthful, let’s break it down. Jesus said these words to a woman of Samaria (the city of the outcasts) who was basically a prostitute. Read the chapter, it’s very interesting. In answering her question about worship, Jesus made His important statements.
You must decide that first of all you want to be a True Worshiper and ask for help. If those are the people God has to look for, I think it must be that they are hard to find. It must mean that there are a lot of Fake Worshipers! The difference is in the heart. The motivation for worship and our love of the Father MUST BE PURE!!! God wants our worship to come from a pure heart where in all we do, all day, everyday, He is our ONLY consideration. Our FIRST thought is “God is this what I should do?” And if we feel inside that the answer is “NO”, then no matter how difficult, we DON”T do it!!!
Here are some of my A True Worshiper is….statements. I know they will bless you.
- A True Worshiper worships the Father everyday, all day, it’s not just a Sunday experience.
- A True Worshiper becomes a mirror reflection of the one they worship. It’s not about struggling, it’s about worshiping.
- A True Worshiper leads others to worship the One True God and not themselves.
- A True Worshiper does not wait on the approval of man but relies on absolute obedience to the One they Worship.
- A True Worshiper is an honest worshiper. It’s not the loudness or length of the worship, it’s the purity of the heart from which it springs.
- A True Worshiper worships God with the abandon of a child, not caring what others may think!
- A True Worshiper is faithful to follow the One they worship regardless of the opposition.
- A True Worshiper worships God in the middle of any circumstance.
- A True Worshiper dedicates their mind, spirit and body to be an instrument of worship.
- A True Worshiper is a leader not a performer. They seek to take others to the place of worship.
- A True Worshiper does not pause to look at the worship of others, their eyes are fixed on God.
- A True Worshiper has a meaningful, personal relationship with the One that they worship.
- A True Worshiper stands as a beacon of light and attracts others who also want to worship.
- A True Worshiper has a “presence” that can be seen and felt not based on self promotion but because they’ve “soaked” in His “Presence”.
- A True Worshiper knows that they must WAIT in the place of worship for audience with the King.
- A True Worshiper is willing to lay down their crown at the feet of the One they worship rec0gnizing that they are nothing and He is All.
- A True Worshiper has learned to listen and obey the still, small voice of the One they Worship at all times.
- A True Worshiper becomes a mirror reflection of the one they worship. It’s not about struggling, it’s about worshiping.
The truth of the matter is that God DOES NOT need our worship to exist. We need to worship to exist. Heaven does not suffer from some type of power shortage, like oh no not enough worship, Gabriel what are we going to do? But that is exactly what will happen to us if we don’t sustain a lifestyle of worship. The lifestyle is literally about praying, reading, dancing and praising but it is also about seeking, listening, being aware of His voice, obedience to His Spirit. It is time consuming, it is extremely difficult but it is ALL!!!! True Worship is a Lifestyle.

That’s Amen! A true worshiper is worshiper 24 hrs. 365 days of the year!
